The woman takes a long drag from a hand-rolled cigarette, blows out a seemingly endless funnel cloud of smoke, then puts her pollution mask back on. "It's the dust," a friend explains. "Some people can handle any smoke, but not the dust. I hate to breathe it, but the orange skies that it makes are beautiful. Is there this dust in America? I want to see the weather there. I want to see storms in summer, strong rain that is not over in five minutes. And snow. In all my life, I have never seen the falling snow."
