The main streets are lined with multicolored banners and what I still think of as Christmas lights. The sequence of banners repeats: blue, yellow, red, orange, white. Those that I thought were different are strung east-to-west rather than west-to east. At the cafe, the server has a strong North American accent. I'm oddly disappointed when she repeats my order back to me in English. Overhead, the speakers play a cover of "Hotel California," overly earnest, with horns.
