Book 1: Notes Following Aliyah

The first set of posts to as if in dreams has appeared as a physical book and ebook.

From the Introduction:

On November 29th, 2017, when I was 59, I immigrated to Israel from the US. I moved to Herzliya, a city just north of Tel Aviv, along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Much of my family already lived there, some in apartments of their own, and some in an assisted living facility that we came to call the House of a Hundred Grandmothers.

Soon after I arrived, I began writing short observations of what I was seeing and experiencing, as well as collecting quotes of what I heard and overheard from people I encountered. It quickly became a daily practice. I posted these observations where friends and readers around the world could see them. This is a selection of what I saw and wrote in that first year of Aliyah.

Moving to Israel, an American Jew finds both an alternate reality and an eternal home. In what becomes a daily practice of brief notes posted online, he creates a mosaic text, observing everyday life and how it blends the sacred and the mundane.
