My first day at the new job: Odd forms to fill out with more than the usual questions. Favorite color? Blue. Favorite food? Ice cream. Favorite movie? Koyaanisqatsi. Favorite song? Leonard Bernstein's "A Simple Song." Height and weight? If metric, I have no idea offhand. Garbage carts rumbling above our comfortable sub-basement sound like slightly more distant airplanes. "Is it hot or cold outside? There could be a tornado and we'd never know it." I think I'm going to like this place.
