walking to the bus stop i hear the bird songs
most but not all of the shops on the main
at dawn the minimarket is still closed though
an old couple sits in one of the small parks in
in the supermarket at the mall a sudden rumbling
at night almost asleep i realize that i need to

saturday afternoon at the house of a hundred
the roar of a motorcycle cuts through the songs
as i walk home at night i see a water tower that
as i shave a kitten walks down the stone steps

parked cars and trucks block the bus lane in

people here are afraid of florida they think
at the bus stop a woman scrolls through a list
the sirens sound as im walking home from the

today as independence day continues almost
faux pas i didnt cover my head during the

i run from the bus stop to the laundry just as
i feel then see as i walk past the house in
