A woman is shouting something about police and electricity. Looking past her, I see what she means. A boy on an electric bicycle has puttered past us, ignoring the sidewalk's clearly marked bike and scooter lanes. A cop gets in his way and escorts him to the curb, where a police car is waiting. They don't take him in, and I don't see them give him a ticket, but they do appear to check his ID and deliver a stern warning. He rides off, in the correct lane this time. As I pass the woman, she stops shouting and, sotto voce, asks for a few shekels. I apologize for not having any and move on.
