My thing with Hebrew's the complete flip of yours. I went into the army pretty much right when I got here, and boom. Crash immersion. I got fluent 'cause I had to. Thing is, when I went back to the States for Passover, I had to read something from the Hagaddah at the Seder, and nothing. Could barely read it, couldn't understand it. My parents laughed at me. `You're so good, so Israeli now, you talk Hebrew, you text in Hebrew, and you can't read this?' Yeah, it's like whole different languages. Hebrew from now? I'm good. But hand me the old stuff and I don't know what's going on.
